They spent the day assisting in the construction of homes for families in need, helping to make a real difference in the community. We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to giving back. We're excited to share that we recently donated over 20 carpet tubes to Iowa Homeless Youth Centers - IHYC Reggie's Sleepout at Drake University! This incredible event raises awareness and funds to combat youth homelessness in Iowa. Participants sleep outside in cardboard shelters to experience just a glimpse of what it’s like for so many young people who don’t have a safe place to call home. We were so excited to be able to support the Iowa Shine a Light Walk this year! Shine a Light NF Walk is the signature fundraising event of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Their goal is to spread awareness of neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis - genetic conditions that collectively affect more than 4 million people worldwide - and raise critical funds to advance research and treatments. Our staff was challenged to donate clothes and other garments for the Professional Women in Building - Des Moines YSS drive! Iowa Homeless Youth Centers - IHYC is Des Moines' only youth homeless shelter and our staff was more than ecstatic to participate in such a great cause!
Count the Kicks is a program that helps expectant parents monitor their baby's movements during the third trimester of pregnancy. The program's goal is to reduce stillbirths and racial disparities by making kick counting a common practice. We are proud to sponsor Count the Kicks each year!
